Guti with a splendid lob/chip over the goalkeeper

Real Madrid looked fabulous in attack but frail at the back as they began their Champions League campaign with a narrow victory over Swiss champions FC Zurich.

The £80 million man Cristiano Ronaldo put them ahead with a trademark free-kick and they were three goals to the good by half-time thanks to further strikes from Raul and Gonzalo Higuain.
